Heartland
Nursery Garden Club
On
Monday June 13 the first meeting
was held for the Heartland Nursery
Garden Club. Jennifer Mistretta,
Annual Department manager led
this meeting and members were
asked their opinions on what they
wanted from their garden club,
when would be the best time to
meet and the possibilities of
field trips to some of Heartland's
growers, tours to Powell Gardens
and St. Louis Botanical Gardens,
and speakers.
It
was decided that the club would
be an informal (non-political)
club. This means there isn't any
offices such as president, vice
president, etc, etc.
It
is a garden club for all levels
of gardeners who just want to
meet, have fun, share ideas, learn
and get special discounts (yes,
special coupons with some great
savings).
Annual
dues are $24.00 a year. All dues
money is used for the Garden Club
only. Special trips, or projects
i.e., stepping stones, or hypertuffa
will be an extra charge.
The
2nd Monday of the month at 6:30p.m.
is the set time for future meetings
to be held at Heartland Nursery.
There will be some exceptions
because of Heartland Nursery's
business hours, and days for tours
and field trips will probably
be a Saturday. The May meeting
will not be held at Heartland
Nursery, it is a possibility of
it being at a members house to
tour their gardens, or perhaps
there won't be any meeting that
month.
New
members may join at any time.
Please feel free to bring friends
and Family to any meeting.
